This post is about game day slider recipes.
There are two types of people on game day. The ones watching the game and the ones hovering near the food table.
I have always been the second type. 🫣
Sliders are the undisputed MVP of any game day spread.
PIN FOR LATER 📌

They’re easy to make in big batches, they stay warm in the pan, everyone can grab one without needing a plate and cutlery, and there is genuinely no version of a slider that a room full of people will turn down.
Cheeseburgers, Philly cheesesteak, pulled beef, steak and peppers—these are the kind of recipes that make people ask who brought the food before they even sit down.
These are my favorite game day slider recipes. Make a double batch. You will need it.
1. Jalapeno Gameday Sliders

Lean beef patties seasoned with garlic, Worcestershire, and diced tomatoes with green chilies, topped with reduced-fat cheese, crispy fried onions, and fresh jalapeno slices on toasted dinner rolls. All the game day flavor with a lighter footprint.

2. Hot Italian Sliders

Ham, genoa salami, soppressata, pepperoni, and provolone layered onto Hawaiian rolls with a homemade roasted red pepper and walnut spread, brushed with Italian herb butter and baked until golden. Serve with marinara for dipping and watch them go.
3. Bacon Chicken Ranch Sliders
Rotisserie chicken tossed with crispy bacon, Mexican cheese blend, ranch dressing, and a touch of hot sauce, piled onto Hawaiian rolls brushed inside and out with a garlic ranch butter and baked until golden. One of those recipes where people ask for the details before they’ve even finished eating.
4. Flank Steak Sliders with Chimichurri Slaw

Flank steak marinated in soy sauce, balsamic, lime, and brown sugar, grilled and sliced thin against the grain, then piled onto brioche slider buns with a fresh chimichurri slaw made from parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil. The most elevated slider on this list and completely worth the marinade time.
5. BBQ Chicken Sliders
Chili-seasoned chicken breasts seared then oven-baked, shredded, and tossed with sauteed onions and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, piled onto Hawaiian rolls brushed with a brown sugar Italian butter and baked until golden. Finished with a cilantro lime coleslaw added after baking so it stays fresh and crunchy.
6. Crockpot Meatball Sliders

Homemade beef and Italian sausage meatballs broiled to seal in the moisture, then slow-cooked for hours in a garlicky marinara until deeply saucy and tender. Piled onto slider buns with mozzarella and broiled until golden. The kind of recipe you make once and then have on rotation all season.
7. Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders

Hawaiian rolls spread with a homemade pimento cheese made from gouda, sharp cheddar, cream cheese, and mayo, then layered with smoked honey turkey, crispy bacon, and fresh tomato, brushed with a parmesan herb butter and baked until golden. A slider version of the legendary Brown Hotel classic that works just as well at a game day spread as it does at brunch.
8. Beer and Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sliders

Chicken breasts seared, then braised in lager and bourbon until falling-apart tender, shredded and tossed with your favorite BBQ sauce, then piled onto toasted slider buns with crunchy pickles. Ready in 25 minutes!
9. Baked Cheeseburger Sliders

Seasoned ground beef pressed into a flat slab, baked until cooked through, then layered onto Hawaiian rolls with sauteed onion and melted cheese and finished with a brown sugar, Dijon, Worcestershire, and sesame butter brushed over the top. Pull-apart, crowd-pleasing, and one of those recipes people ask for the second they try one.
10. Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders

Black forest ham and Swiss cheese layered onto Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a honey Dijon butter sauce with poppy seeds, minced onion, and Worcestershire, then baked covered until melty and uncovered until golden. The classic game day slider that never fails to disappear first.
11. Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Partially frozen sirloin sliced paper thin and seared in a screaming hot cast iron skillet with a splash of beef broth for extra juiciness, layered onto toasted Hawaiian rolls with sauteed green peppers and onions and a homemade provolone cheese sauce that hits somewhere between melted cheese and Cheese Whiz. The best of both Philly traditions in one slider.
12. Super Bowl Italian Sliders

Hawaiian rolls layered with provolone, ham, salami, and pepperoni, brushed with a garlic parmesan butter and baked until golden, then topped with a creamy grinder salad of shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, black olives, and red onion tossed in Italian dressing and mayo. The baked slider and the deli sub had a baby and it is excellent.
